No hunger pangs today - but I'll have to chalk that up to taking care of a 3 year old with the flu.  You know you're a mommy when your 3 year old had to throw up and there is nothing at hand for him to throw up in (and you are so not making it to the bathroom or kitchen sink) and without hesitation you simply cup your hands for him while your husband runs to get a bucket...  yep, that's been my day.

Measuring and weighing in tomorrow...

  1. Sorry you're little guy is sick.
    That's never fun.

BTW: You should never have hunger pains. Make sure you're drinking enough water during the day and taking advantage of "free" snacks, such as celery and carrots. :-)

    1. Thanks. By bedtime he was much better. His color was back (he's a really pale kid naturally anyway with white blond hair so when he's sick it can get kinda scary looking), he held down a Popsicle, some apple juice and some mixed fruit and eventually danced the hot dog dance with Mickey and the crew at Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse. :) Gotta love the comeback abilities of little ones. Most adults I know would be wiped out but little ones are just so happy to not feel sick they have to celebrate or something.

Oh, no pains. I meant that I didn't have any desire to munch or snack. Of course being vomited on will do that to you - I'm surprised I had the appetite for dinner. LOL I love the 'free snacks' and have been grabbing a couple of baby carrots when I feel the need to crunch. Baby Carrots and Almonds are my go to snacks.

    2. Wife was an absolute trooper yesterday...Exorcist boy couldn't knock her off her stride. She even picked a few strings of cheese off the big chicken salad I made for dinner..."that's way too much cheese...way too much cheese."

It hurts deep when the boys are sick.

  2. Yep. I remember those days. Not too much flu in our house back in the day, but when they were sick, you always wished it was you and not them. I remember both my boys had their wisdom teeth out at one time. THAT was a mistake. Never do that.
(Take note for future reference!) :-)

I love that you're helping to watchdog the hubby's portions.
Nicely done Stevie. Still do that occasionally with mine as well. Heck, they should be happy we're helping to keep them healthy so they stick around!

  3. Oh my. I just re-read my first comment and cringed. I used you're instead of your. I'm ashamed. Deeply ashamed. May I blame this on Siri or the fact that I was multi-tasking at the time? I must make up an excuse...quickly. LOL!
